Loyola University Chicago HGSA Conference Call for Papers and Posters
Masters and doctoral graduate students in any field of historical study are invited to submit proposals to present individual papers at Loyola’s Fifth Annual History Graduate Student Conference. The goal of this conference is to provide an opportunity for students to gain experience presenting papers and receiving feedback from their peers on their work.
Students of Public History are also welcome to submit proposals for a Poster Session during the conference.
The conference will be held April 24-25 at Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The keynote speaker will be Elliott Gorn, Professor of History at Brown University and author of The Manly Art: Bare-Knuckle Prize Fighting in America and Mother Jones: The Most Dangerous Woman in America.
Paper proposals are due February 2, 2009 and poster proposals March 15, 2009.
